SOLON, OH — December 5, 2008 — The David Round Company has introduced a new series of strap hoists for clean room use. The clean room strap hoists meet the needs of pharmaceutical manufacturers with Class 10,000 environments, as well as food processors and electronics manufacturers.
All external components are polished stainless steel. Gearing is sealed, with food-grade lubrication. By employing a polypropylene lifting strap, the hoists eliminate potential contamination associated with surface lubrication of chain or wire rope hoists. Additionally, metallic dust and other particulate contamination caused by chain abrasion or wire rope wear is eliminated. The hoists feature smooth ground welds, flush mounting faces and plugged fasteners to help reduce the likelihood of contamination.
David Round clean room strap hoists are available to accommodate loads up to 4,000 pounds. Options available include hook travel limit switch, single phase wiring, variable speed operation, stainless steel push or motorized trolley, or complete overhead systems.
Established in 1869, The David Round Company remains one of the oldest hoist manufacturers in the world. David Round offers standard handling products such as chain hoists, jib cranes, winches and tractor drives as well as innovative solutions including engineered wire rope hoists, all stainless steel chain hoists and jib crane motorization kits.
Major corporations and engineering firms routinely ask David Round to produce items which are non-standard for other material handling equipment suppliers. The company excels at designing and producing custom engineered equipment, purpose-built to tailor to special environments and applications.
Found in almost every industry from pharmaceutical processing and food manufacturing to oil and gas, aviation, pulp and paper and water control, David Round’s products improve handling system efficiency while making the workplace a more productive and safer environment through their ergonomic designs.
